A world where everyone has a decent place to live<\/i><\/b> The need for adequate housing solutions in Asia-Pacific is immense.\nBased on the United Nations data, half of the world\u2019s poor \u2014 those living on less than US$1.90 a day \u2014 are in this region. Amid rapid\nurbanization, one in two slum dwellers calls Asia-Pacific home. A person living in Asia-Pacific is also five times more likely than\nsomeone living outside of it to be hit by a disaster, increasing the risk of losing his or her home.

\n Through shelter, we empower<\/i><\/b>\nDriven by the vision that everyone needs a decent place to live, Habitat for Humanity began in 1976 as a grassroots effort,\ngrowing to become a leading global nonprofit working in more than 70 countries. In the Asia-Pacific region since 1983, Habitat\nhas supported millions of people to build or improve a place they can call home.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n

CDP-Housing Support Services<\/h3>\n

Intending to assist 3000 families (15000 individuals) in Paravur Taluk, through value added, appropriate and affordable Housing solutions,\nHabitat for Humanity India with the support of Center for Disaster philanthropy has implemented Housing Support Services in the area. The\nHousing Support Services in Kerala is in the reconstruction phase of Kerala Floods Disaster response of HFH India to assist families to repair,\nretrofit or reconstruct a safe and durable house.
\nThe Housing Support Services plays a key role in empowering the families\/communities to get Technical services, financial education, and\noptimum utilization of the funds available.
